We offer a range of programs for different age groups.
The Older Toddlers ( 3 - 4 years) at Bankhill Educare follows a set curriculum which covers all Four Developmental Domains;

We provide activities for children with a teacher child ratio of 1:8. At the Older Toddler level, each child is looked upon differently and is individually presented with their own language and math “work,” based on the child’s developmental needs. Each child is given the opportunity to progress at their individual rate, and they are each able to take time away from their academics when needed. Taking “time away” is spent in creating beautiful artwork, puzzles and other outlets for creativity. The classrooms buzz with wonderful, creative energy and learning.
We all gather for the Morning Circle Time, where the children get the ability to develop on their language skills, imagination, self-esteem and self -confidence while participating in various activities such as rhyme time, stories, puppet play, show and tell.
Physical Development
Older Toddlers are with much energy and full of strength, therefore we create a lot of outdoor activities to develop their gross motor skills such as obstacle course, skipping, climbing, hop scotch etc. We get the children feel free when they play outdoors. Use and waste their energy as much as they could, which we believe is necessary at this age to strengthen their upper and lower body muscles.
Our teachers further provide children with fine motor activities, such as painting, cutting, pre-writing patterns, craft, colouring to strengthen the hand control, develop a firm grip on pencil, eye hand coordination. Children work in small groups during all physical activities for better observations.
Cognitive Development
Cognitive development refers to reasoning, thinking and understanding. Cognitive development is important for knowledge growth. In Older Toddler Years children are learning questioning, spatial relationships, problem-solving, imitation, memory, number sense, classification, and symbolic play.
Children want to learn how things work, and they learn best through play. Our teachers get small groups involved in many hands on experiments and projects which involves number, science, nature, cookery etc.. to help children develop the ability to solve problems, create, think out of the box.
We at Bankhill Educare believes that children builds relationship through hands on activities and sends a simple but powerful message – you are important to us. This message is the key to help the child learn about who they are and where they fit in the world. It also gives the child confidence to keep exploring and learning about the world.
Language Development
Our teachers focus on building children’s early literacy skills by reading simple stories with large pictures, finger play, rhyme time, picture card reading. We further get them to describe or narrate the story by looking at the picture books.
The children will further learn the days of week, months of the year, parts of body, tree etc through fun activities and a lot of open ended questions. We believe that children should be given the opportunity to express themselves at all times to develop their language skills.
Small groups being created for “small talk”, where we give them a scenario to act out and role play. Further during hands on activities our teachers introduces basic letter sounds and correspondent pictures, matching picture to the relevant sound etc…to develop their early literacy skill.
Social and Emotional Development
We at Bankhill Educare believes that Children's emotional well-being during their early years has a powerful impact on their social relationships. At this age children are learning to talk about their feelings and the feelings of others. Social-emotional development, however, involves more than just expressing emotions.
Our teachers are extremely keen in making children achieve their set targets and goals. Especially, when it comes to Social and Emotional Development, we take a great effort to make sure that children reach their set developmental milestones according to their age.

Our teachers help children excel these skills by encouraging pretend play with peers and use words and sentences to express their feelings and thoughts. We get them to share toys, use their manners ‘magic words – please, thank you..’ at all given times.
We further take time to sit with small group to discuss about how they feel on a day to day basis, what their thoughts like etc.. On the other hand our teachers encourage the children to be independent by serving food, share toys, tie shoes, eat on their own. We make sure that we praise each and every child to give them the confidence been independent.
