We offer a range of programs for different age groups.

Infant Care – (6months – 18months)

Our Infant Care Rooms are aesthetically designed and safely-fitted to ensure optimal protection of infants. Coupled with professionally trained Infant Educators in an extremely small Teacher - child ratio (1:2) setting, our program is based through play learning experiences which provide emergent play situations where children make sense of things and people around them to form relationships and interactions.

We believe our babies learn best when exposed to a variety of activities that fosters language development, cognitive development, social development and motor skills. Play for babies begin with reflexive action and exploration of their immediate world using their senses.

Through sensory play, babies develop an awareness of the body, self, risk taking and the confidence to explore and make choices is strengthened. Activities are introduced with props and puppets to encourage focus and capture the child’s attention.

When you drop your infant off at Bankhill Educare each day, you will know your infant is in good hands, with great friends & qualified caregivers! We can assist you in making sure your infant gets a head-start in life, preparing him for our Playgroup, then throughout childcare years, primary school, and beyond.

Toddlers – (2 years – 3 years)

You might wonder how teachers at Bankhill Educare plan learning experiences for Toddlers;

We at Bankhill Educare plan High-Quality Hands on Play Programs (1:5 teacher child ratio) in an appropriate manner to provide challenging activities which are not too hard or too easy—something toddlers can do with a little help. We further choose materials, activities, and strategies in a more meaningful manner;

What most toddlers need and what they are interested in —like moving and being active throughout the day with a lot of hands on, trial and error and imaginary play activities.
What individual toddlers need—Planning activities on an individual basis.. if they show interest in painting, to provide paint, paper and brushes to develop their aesthetic skill.

Teachers focus on four major areas of your child's development:

Physical Development

Toddlers love to move— Run, climb, jump, dance… We prepare gross motor activities for children based on their interest. These activities take place both indoors and outdoors. We also provide materials and activities that interest children to develop their fine motor skills such as painting, free drawing, craft activities

Social and Emotional Development

Our teachers model behaviors like sharing and apologizing so toddlers can learn by example. They give your child opportunities to try new social skills and to try doing things for themselves. Teachers encourage children and help them express their feelings in positive, healthy ways.

Thinking (cognitive) Development

Cognitive development is the ability to make sense of the world around them. It includes memory, language, thinking, and reasoning. Classrooms are set up so toddlers can learn how to solve problems by sorting objects, doing puzzles, taking things apart and fitting them back together, pattern making, construction activities. We offer children a range of activities and experiences that inspire and challenge them, from building on their curiosity.

Language Development

Our teachers spend a lot of time talking to children so that they learn how words should sound and how conversations go back and forth. We make sure we ask a lot of Open-Ended questions from the kids, so they get the opportunity to think and answer and also to build conversation. We read books with simple stories and use songs, rhymes, and finger plays that have repeating patterns.

The Older Toddlers ( 3 - 4 years) at Bankhill Educare follows a set curriculum which covers all Four Developmental Domains;

We provide activities for children with a teacher child ratio of 1:8. At the Older Toddler level, each child is looked upon differently and is individually presented with their own language and math “work,” based on the child’s developmental needs. Each child is given the opportunity to progress at their individual rate, and they are each able to take time away from their academics when needed. Taking “time away” is spent in creating beautiful artwork, puzzles and other outlets for creativity. The classrooms buzz with wonderful, creative energy and learning.

We all gather for the Morning Circle Time, where the children get the ability to develop on their language skills, imagination, self-esteem and self -confidence while participating in various activities such as rhyme time, stories, puppet play, show and tell.

Physical Development

Older Toddlers are with much energy and full of strength, therefore we create a lot of outdoor activities to develop their gross motor skills such as obstacle course, skipping, climbing, hop scotch etc. We get the children feel free when they play outdoors. Use and waste their energy as much as they could, which we believe is necessary at this age to strengthen their upper and lower body muscles.

Our teachers further provide children with fine motor activities, such as painting, cutting, pre-writing patterns, craft, colouring to strengthen the hand control, develop a firm grip on pencil, eye hand coordination. Children work in small groups during all physical activities for better observations.

Cognitive Development

Cognitive development refers to reasoning, thinking and understanding. Cognitive development is important for knowledge growth. In Older Toddler Years children are learning questioning, spatial relationships, problem-solving, imitation, memory, number sense, classification, and symbolic play.

Children want to learn how things work, and they learn best through play. Our teachers get small groups involved in many hands on experiments and projects which involves number, science, nature, cookery etc.. to help children develop the ability to solve problems, create, think out of the box.

We at Bankhill Educare believes that children builds relationship through hands on activities and sends a simple but powerful message – you are important to us. This message is the key to help the child learn about who they are and where they fit in the world. It also gives the child confidence to keep exploring and learning about the world.

Language Development

Our teachers focus on building children’s early literacy skills by reading simple stories with large pictures, finger play, rhyme time, picture card reading. We further get them to describe or narrate the story by looking at the picture books.

The children will further learn the days of week, months of the year, parts of body, tree etc through fun activities and a lot of open ended questions. We believe that children should be given the opportunity to express themselves at all times to develop their language skills.

Small groups being created for “small talk”, where we give them a scenario to act out and role play. Further during hands on activities our teachers introduces basic letter sounds and correspondent pictures, matching picture to the relevant sound etc…to develop their early literacy skill.

Social and Emotional Development

We at Bankhill Educare believes that Children's emotional well-being during their early years has a powerful impact on their social relationships. At this age children are learning to talk about their feelings and the feelings of others. Social-emotional development, however, involves more than just expressing emotions.

Our teachers are extremely keen in making children achieve their set targets and goals. Especially, when it comes to Social and Emotional Development, we take a great effort to make sure that children reach their set developmental milestones according to their age.

Social and Emotional Development is mainly focused on how children;

Our teachers help children excel these skills by encouraging pretend play with peers and use words and sentences to express their feelings and thoughts. We get them to share toys, use their manners ‘magic words – please, thank you..’ at all given times.

We further take time to sit with small group to discuss about how they feel on a day to day basis, what their thoughts like etc.. On the other hand our teachers encourage the children to be independent by serving food, share toys, tie shoes, eat on their own. We make sure that we praise each and every child to give them the confidence been independent.

Our Preschool is set up in different sections : science, literacy, writing, reading, dramatic play, blocks and building, and nature corner. We believe that children gain more knowledge when they work in small groups, therefore we maintain a teacher -child ratio of (1:10).

Our teachers will then prepare activities which incorporate play-based material that the children will find engaging and fun. The learning environment will be inspiring, stimulating, and nurturing. The classroom will be a place that children can feel safe to learn, play and explore. The class room is set up in a manner which covers all developmental domains;

We at Bankhill Educare, provides a fun filled but challenging play based activities for our Preschool Children to develop creative arts, literacy, numeracy, science, etc. When the children are engage in projects it looks like “they are just PLAYING”, but in fact, they are learning important educational, social, emotional, and life skills through the process of play.

We believe that the children become confident, build self-esteem and get the ability to experiment and explore with our structured activities which covers the following areas of development,

After School Care & Activity Club

Bankhill Educare proudly offers a top-rated afterschool care program for children aged 5 to 10 years. Operating from 12 PM to 6 PM, our program provides a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for your child to thrive after school.
